Privacy policy

This policy explains how Awwly handles personal information when you browse, personalise a card, or place an order.

Who we are

Awwly is operated by Elevate Alpha Limited (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions, use Contact or email hi@awwly.co.

What we collect

Depending on how you use Awwly, we may process:

  • Account and contact details (such as name, email, and address)
  • Order and payment-related information (payment is handled by our payment provider; we don’t store full card numbers)
  • Personalisation content you upload or enter (messages, names, photos, and similar)
  • Recipient details you provide for delivery
  • Technical data such as device/browser information and cookies needed to run the site
  • Messages you send us for support

Why we use it

We use personal data to:

  • Provide the storefront, personalisation tools, checkout and customer accounts
  • Produce and deliver your cards (print, postage, or digital delivery)
  • Send order updates and service emails
  • Improve reliability and security, and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Meet legal and accounting obligations

Where we rely on consent (for example optional cookies or marketing, if offered), you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who only process data for us, such as:

  • Hosting and store infrastructure
  • Payment providers
  • Email delivery services
  • Postage and print partners when an order is fulfilled
  • Analytics or support tools if enabled on the site

We don’t sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order and account records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, provide support, and meet legal retention requirements. Personalisation files may be retained for a limited period to fulfil and troubleshoot orders, then removed according to our retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us via Contact or hi@awwly.co. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies needed for the site to function (for example basket and login). See our Cookie policy for more detail as consent tooling is finalised.

Updates

We may update this policy as Awwly evolves. The latest version will always be published on this page.
